East Kurdistan Defense Units publish identity information of three fallen guerrillas

The East Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK) Press Center published the identity information of the three guerrillas who fell as martyrs on different dates during the Week of Heroism.

The statement said: “Great heroism has been witnessed in the history of our Freedom Movement and a great price has been paid. We commemorate the martyrs of the revolution and the Martyrs of the Week of Heroism in the persons of Mazlum Doğan and Mahsum Korkmaz (Egîd), and we promise to widen the struggle.”

Pointing out that the Kurdistan guerrillas experienced “some undeserved accidents” during the intense struggle, the YRK said: “Three of our comrades fell as martyrs in different places. We once again commemorate them with respect.”

The statement included the following information:

“Comrade Çalak Berxwedan, who grew up in a patriotic family in the Kotol region, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2007 and fell as a result of an accident in 2012.

Comrade Dilbirîn Hejar, who was from Mahabad in Eastern Kurdistan, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2005 and fell in an accident in 2012. Our comrade fought for a long time and assumed duties in the Eastern Kurdistan forces until becoming team commander.

Comrade Pale Mêrdîn, originally from Mardin, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2011 and fell as a martyr as a result of an accident in the Mukriyan region in 2015.”

The YRK concluded: “The Eastern Kurdistan forces, offer our condolences to all our people, especially the families of our heroic martyrs, and promise to increase the struggle and follow in their footsteps.”
