Newroz celebrations to be announced today in Amed

Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women’s Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) gathered in Amed to kick off the Newroz celebrations.

DTK co-chair Berdan Öztürk, DBP co-chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır, HDP co-chair Mithat Sancar and TJA activist Emel Temel have gone to the meeting where the text of the declaration will be announced. The leaders of the Kurdistan Communist Party (KKP), KDP-Bakur, Azadî Party, Human and Freedom Party (PIA), Revolutionary Democratic Kurdish Association (DDKD), which took part in the Kurdistan Alliance Work, also attended the meeting.

This year, Newroz will be celebrated in 72 different cities with the slogan “Now is the Time to Win”.
