TJK-E announces its action calendar for 8 March

The Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) announced its action calendar for 8 March.

The statement said: “Today, women are uniting in Kurdistan, the Middle East, and many other regions of the world to extend the collective struggle against patriarchy, sexism, fascism, occupation, and colonialism.  Against the chaos created by the capitalist system, women lead the peoples’ resistance by constructing a democratic, ecological, and libertarian life for women. Kurdish women will overthrow AKP-MHP fascism and usher in a new era of women and peoples. We will end isolation, defeat fascism, and live free with Leader Apo if we continue to resist. With women’s solidarity, unity, and national and global struggle, we will create a liberated world.”

The statement added: “Today, the level of awareness, organization, and collective struggle among women is higher than at any other time in history. The women’s struggle has determined that the twenty-first century will be known as the century of women. As the European Kurdish Women’s Movement, we have entered our second year and we are carrying out our resistance and fight in accordance with the movement ‘Against Femicide: Time to Defend Free Women and Society’. We greet you with the slogan ‘Resist, Organize, and Live Freely!”

‘THE SOLUTION IS IN WOMEN’S ORGANIZED POWER’

The statement continued: “We will draw attention to the problems faced by women, particularly the femicide, torture subjected by women political prisoners and the massacres in prisons, ecological problems that threaten the entire world, labor exploitation, and male violence, during the March 8 actions and events. The solution to all of these difficulties is organized power, self-defense, and women’s collective resistance. As a result, March 8, 2022, will be one of the most important days of struggle in which we will strengthen our organization, self-defense, and collective struggle. Women will build a democratic and free life in opposition to the patriarchal and fascist order through a year-long battle, not on a single day. On this premise, we celebrate the 8th of March for all women once more and invite all women to participate in the actions we will organize on March 8th!”
