Senyaşar family’s Vigil for Justice reaches day 355
The Justice Vigil carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 355. The vigil was launched on 9 March 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s bodyguards and relatives, in Suruç, province of Urfa, on 14 June 2018.
The vigil has been carried out since then in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, who survived the attack.
As the courthouse is closed at the weekend, Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar continue their vigil at their house in Suruç.
The family shared the picture of the ambulance whose windows were broken in Suruç State Hospital on the day of the massacre. The family said: “If the headline accompanying this photo was ‘Ambulance going to Ukraine from Turkey attacked!’ conservative supporters would take to the streets… This ambulance was attacked in Urfa. Those who carried out this attack were rewarded. If we are passengers of the same ship, why is there such cruelty?”
