15 students graduate in Kurdish language in Kobanê
15 students from the Martyr Şêrko Kobanê Kurdish Education courses received their graduation certificates. Hundreds of people attended the graduation ceremony organized by the PYD in the village of Taşlok in Kobanê.
The same course has now been opened by the PYD in the villages of Elîşar, Qeremox and Xirbisan.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Taşlok City Council co-chair, Mihemed Xidir, said that mother tongue learning activities are the strongest reaction against Kurdish enemies, because they prove that people live and want to live with their language and culture.
PYD member Abdulaziz Mahmud also described the preservation of the Kurdish language and culture as a historical task.
At the ceremony, Kongra Star Executive member of Şêranê district, Selama Etê, drew attention to the role of women in the Rojava revolution and said that “women are proving that they can take great tasks to ensure the success of the revolution.”
