All activities banned in Hakkari, including flying balloons and sky lanterns
The Hakkari Governorship declared that actions and events such as demonstration marches, press statements, and sit-ins would be prohibited in the city for 15 days.
Noting that the prohibition decision would apply to all of the districts of the city, the Governorship statement included the following:
“It has been decided that in public areas such as squares, streets, roads, parks; all rallies, open-ground meetings, demonstration marches, sit-ins, protest actions, protests/marches and gatherings that can be made by forming a human chain, meetings/gatherings/public meetings in the form of public platforms, audio-broadcasting tools (vehicles, mobile etc.) all kinds of audio and visual activities, hunger strike, tent set up, press releases, all kinds of booth opening, signature collection/signature campaign, sky lantern/balloon, drone, paramotor/glider etc. all kinds of aerial activities, commemoration meeting/commemoration ceremonies -excluding public institutions/organizations-, concert, festival, theatre, sketch, cine-vision, pantomime etc, and actions/activities like torch lighting, flyer/leaflet distribution, poster hanging, sticker sticking etc. will be prohibited for 15 days.”
