MLKP-Kurdistan: We must all fight the conspiracy against Öcalan
The Kurdistan branch of the Marxists-Leninist-Communist Party (MLKP) released a written statement to mark the anniversary of the international conspiracy against Kurdish leader Öcalan that resulted in his abduction from Kenya to Turkey on 15 February 1999.
The statement remarked that the conspiracy is continuing today with the aggravated isolation imposed on Öcalan in Imrali prison. “Öcalan’s resistance and the Kurdish people have frustrated the conspiracy. They have not been able to subjugate Öcalan for 23 years. They have not been able to eliminate the revolutionary Kurdish organizations for 23 years. They have not been able to defeat the Kurdish fighters for 23 years,” MLKP underlined.
‘NO ONE CAN BE FREE AS LONG AS ISOLATION CONTINUES’
The statement continued, “The conspiracy is continuing in its 24th year. The isolation on Öcalan is being aggravated. Together with its imperialist partners, the colonial Turkish state is waging a heavy and dirty war against the Kurdish fighters. The imprisonment of Öcalan means the imprisonment of the Kurdish people. The isolation of Öcalan in prison means the enslavement and isolation of the poor Turks. Without Öcalan being free, the Kurds cannot be free. Without Öcalan’s emancipation, the poor Turks cannot get rid of the exploiters and fascists.
All patriots, democrats, socialists and socialist patriots must unite against the conspiracy, reinforce their unity, raise an outstanding resistance; they must revolt and expand the struggle everywhere.
Socialist patriots must fight the conspiracy everywhere in all its forms and must protest it,” the statement added.
