Thousands attend march in Milan to demand end of isolation imposed on Öcalan
Thousands of Kurds and their Italian friends joined the march to protest the 15 February conspiracy held in Milan.
The Kurdish Committee organised a march in Milan to protest the international conspiracy that led to the capture of Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999. Representatives of many civil society organizations and thousands of Kurds and their friends attended the demonstration.
Representatives of Milano Soudane, Ni una Menos Milano, Rifondazione Comunista Sinistra Italiana, Lambretta, Cantiere, CUB, spoke at the march.
While the speakers condemned the conspiracy, they demanded that the isolation on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan be lifted and his freedom ensured.
In the march, giant banners were unfurled with the KCK and PKK flags, as well as the giant poster of Abdullah Öcalan.
