YJK-S calls on everyone to participate in the march to be held in Strasbourg on Saturday
The Swiss Kurdish Women’s Union (YJK-S) has called for strong participation in the march to be held in Strasbourg, on Saturday, 12 February, on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the 15 February international conspiracy that led to the abduction of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.
In a written statement, the YJK-S said: “As the international conspiracy that led to the abduction of Leader Öcalan on 15 February 1999 enters its 24th year, we condemn it with anger. On this occasion, we call on women, peoples, youth, freedom and democracy forces to participate strongly in the march and rally to be held in Strasbourg on 12 February.”
The call of YJK-S continued: “The 15 February conspiracy is a conspiracy against women and we would like to emphasize once again that we will never accept this conspiracy. We commemorate with respect and gratitude our martyrs. The powers that play an active role in this conspiracy will never achieve their goals. 15 February is a black day not only for the Kurdish people and women, but also for humanity. International forces and the fascist Turkish state are seeking to complete their genocidal policy on the Kurdish people in the 21st century, with the isolation and isolation they have implemented against Leader Apo in Imrali.”
The statement added: “Our Leader’s democratic, ecological and women’s libertarian society paradigm has been a source of inspiration for all humanity, especially women. Our Leader has taken up and developed the women’s liberation project every day throughout his life. Our Leader’s philosophy of life and his strategic approach to women’s liberation have provided an extraordinary depth to women’s dreams of liberation. He said that ‘the 21st century is the century of women’.
In this context, let’s ensure the freedom of Leader Apo in 2022 and raise the struggle against the international conspiracy with the spirit of resistance. We call on women, peoples, youth, freedom and democracy forces to participate strongly in the march and rally to be held in Strasbourg on 12 February.”
