Young people in France begin third day of Long March

The long march promoted by Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Tekoşer (TekoJIN) entered its third day. The march is to condemn once again the international conspiracy that led to the abduction of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999.

Activists had set off from the French city of Sierrentz on Sunday and arrived in Mulhouse. From there they marched some 18 Km to Colmar.

Members of the Swiss Democratic Kurdish Society marched with the young people for two days and were joined, on Monday, by the European revolutionary youth organizations.

Over than 120 TCŞ and TekoJIN activists from many European countries are taking place in the march. The activists kept their morale high, despite the provocation by fascists and police.

More and more activists are joining the march at every stop.

The young activists said they will never give up the fight to free Abdullah Öcalan.

Young people will conclude the march with a rally to be held in Strasbourg on 12 February.
