Long March in Hanover on its second day

Ahead of 15 February, the anniversary of Abdullah Öcalan’s deportation to Turkey in 1999, Kurdish activists and their friends are staging long marches this weekend in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Belgium for the freedom of the Kurdish leader.

A two-day march through Hanover began in Langenhagen on Saturday. Hundreds of Kurds and people in solidarity are taking part in the march organised by Nav-Dem Hannover.

The second stage of the march kicked off from Laatzen at ten o’clock this morning. The demonstration will be concluded with a rally in the evening.

On the other hand, the long marches in Rennes, France, Leuven, Belgium, Kiel, Germany and Amsterdam, the Netherlands continue with great enthusiasm.
