Prisoner Haşim Gezer says letters not given to him

Haşim Gezer, the elder brother of Garibe Gezer, who died in Kandıra No. 1 F Type Closed Prison, where she was systematically tortured and raped, made a weekly phone call with his family from Elazig No. 2 High Security Closed Prison, where he is held.

In the phone call, Gezer said that hundreds of letters were sent to him from different prisons and that the prison authorities did not give them to him.

He said that several letters given to him were also censored and added that “the first two pages of a three-page letter are missing. Half of the third page is censored.”
