Activists cover Italian cities’ walls with huge posters of Öcalan to mark the 15 February conspiracy
Preparations are being made in Italian cities to protest the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as the 23 years of his isolation in Imrali.
Giant posters of Abdullah Öcalan were hung on the streets and central places of Milan as well as other cities within the framework of the activities planned to demand freedom for Öcalan.
Events will take place in many cities, such as marches and rallies, public information meetings and meetings with many non-governmental organizations are going to take place in many cities, like Genova, Firenze, Torino, Parma and Bologna.
Sibel Yiğitalp, former deputy of the HDP, and Fırat Anlı, former co-mayor of Amed Metropolitan Municipality, will attend the meetings that will be organised until 9 February. On 12 February, a march and rally will be held in Milan.
