53 families seek protection in Girê Spi Refugee Camp after Turkey bombed their houses
As a result of the increasing invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish state simultaneously with the attacks of ISIS mercenaries in Hesekê, 3 civilians were killed in Ain Issa, while 11 were injured. After the losses suffered as a result of the direct targeting of their homes, many people left to save their lives.
53 families who fled from the villages of Fatsa, Siwêd and Mişêrfê due to the attacks took shelter in Girê Spi Refugee Camp. Approximately 6,000 refugees live in this camp, located in the north of Raqqa.
Mihemed El Şêx, one of the camp administrators, told ANHA that “even though we really had no place, we had to take these 53 families to the camp. These families came here to save their lives from the bombardment of the Turkish state. The bombardment must be stopped as soon as possible so that families can return to their homes.”
