SDF announces the names of eleven fighters martyred in Hesekê
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) published the names of eleven fighters who died in the operation following the ISIS attack on the Sina prison in Hesekê.
The SDF statement published on Thursday includes the following:
“Since the beginning of our revolution, the attacks and threats of the Turkish occupation state have been continuing in our areas, and it has occupied the regions of Afrin, Sri Kaneh/Ras al-Ain, and Gri Spi/Tal Abyad with the help of international power.
The Turkish occupation state still represents a hindrance to our struggle against terrorism by providing support and assistance to terrorism since its relations have never stopped with the Daesh terrorist organization, through which it tried to undermine security and stability in our areas and create chaos to occupy and control them.
Once again, the Turkish state’s relationship with the Daesh terrorist organization has been grossly uncovered, when more than 200 Daesh terrorists coming from Turkish-occupied areas of Sri Kaneh/Ras al-Ain and Gri Spi/Tal Abyad set the scheme of the massive attack on al-Sina’a prison in al-Hasaka, that holds more than 5,000 ISIS detainees in an attempt to set them free to control the area and commit mass massacres.
On January 20, at 7:30 PM, Daesh terrorists attacked the prison using car bombs, intending to free their mercenaries detained in prison.
With rapid intervention, our forces aborted the attack from the onset, showing great caution and sensitivity in responding to the attack. Besides their heroic resistance against the Daesh terrorists, they foiled the plan to occupy the area, burying the possibility of reviving the so-called caliphate, once and for all.
The Turkish occupation thought that by this attack it would fulfill its daydreams, but our fighters kept the Turkish false wishes stuck in its throats.
In the first two days, our fighters showed great heroism and resistance. 11 of them were martyred after showing strong resistance and redemption. Their resistance underscored once again our people’s commitment to protecting the gains of their revolution for which they provided thousands of martyrs.
Once again, we pledge to our people to continue following the path of martyrs to protect the gains they have made with their blood.”
