Guards try to strangle prisoner

Reşit Ilhan, who was held in Gümüşhane E Type Closed Prison, told his family, in his weekly phone call, that he was subjected to violence by the guards.

He said that the guards tried to strangle him, and adde: “My friend Hamza Arzuman, who was in the same ward, was taken upstairs. The guards then physically abused me. They tried to strangle me. Hamza came to my rescue by freeing himself from their grasp and saved me from being strangled.”
