5 people from Afrin jailed in Turkey

In the course of an investigation led by the Osmaniye Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, 15 people from Afrin were taken into custody in Turkey. The arrest operation covered the provinces of Osmaniye, Hatay, Mersin, Kilis, Amed (tr. Diyarbakir) and Antep.

Ten of those arrested were taken to the deportation centre in Osmaniye after being interrogated by the prosecution. The other five were brought before the magistrate. Arrest warrants were issued for A.F., A.D., B.B., Ş.M.S. and A.M. for alleged membership of a terrorist organisation.
