Buldan: We will win against fascism!

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan visited the Bahçelievler district branch, which was attacked the day before.

Speaking during the visit, which was also attended by politician Sırrı Sakık and HDP deputies, Buldan said, “First and foremost, we extend our warmest greetings to our Bahçelievler District Organization. We are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of solidarity in the face of these attacks. At the same time, this is a provocation and a demonstration that we will stand firm against those who attempt to carry out attacks. We try to stand by our people here to condemn and condemn the attack. Everyone should be aware that this will not change in the future. We were targeted on the tenth anniversary of the Roboski Massacre.”

‘KURDS DO NOT FORGET OR BOW DOWN’

Buldan made the following remarks:

“Our country is a place of suffering. Our country’s past is replete with massacres. We, the Kurds, are well aware of this. The Kurdish people’s history is full of suffering and massacres. They have never forgotten or made these wounds disappear, nor have they knelt and humbled down in front of these oppressors. The forces behind the attacks, those who gave the orders, and those who wanted the trigger pulled, are all well known and documented in history. 

We are well aware that some forces went into action to make sure that the Roboski Massacre, as well as the Deniz Poyraz, Ankara massacre and Suruç massacre went unreported. It’s evident who issues orders, pulls the trigger, and intends to attack. Those who wish to cause a bloodbath should be aware that the HDP will never give up its power struggle, belief, and will in the face of these attacks. Everyone should understand that we will not bow down to cowards. These forces, who have never been able to beat us politically or at the ballot box, will never be able to defeat us with their bloody actions and attacks.

 ‘ATTACK HAS BEEN INSTRUCTED’

It is excellent news that no one was killed in the attack on our Bahçelievler District Organization, but those who are responsible should be brought to justice as quickly as possible. Of course, the attacker was not alone. They brought him here and gave him a rifle and a knife. ‘Go to HDP, shed blood,’ they said. Everyone should understand that bloodthirsty deeds, chaoses, attacks, and massacres will not get Turkey anywhere. Today, the HDP is a party that has received millions of votes in Turkey. It is the third-largest party in the legislature. Those who try to target and criminalize our party every day, those who insult them, and those who cannot enter parliament alone today should be aware that their words and attitudes encourage the aggressors. Those who cannot suppress our righteousness, will and success believe that by sending the attackers to our party office, something will come of it, but they have seen and will continue to see that it was in vain.

The court board’s attitude was seen at Deniz Poyraz’s hearing yesterday. We witnessed how the killer was protected. They launched an investigation against us because we called the murderer as such. They can launch as many investigations as they want, we will continue to stand up. We will undoubtedly triumph over these oppressors, as well as their interpretation of fascism. Let us not compromise on this as long as we do not lose our solidarity, struggle, resolve, and firm position. I’d like to thank everyone who is standing with us, especially the Peace Mothers.”
