ISIS attacks Iraqi soldiers in Khanaqin: 2 dead, 3 injured

The Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi militia launched an operation on Thursday in the town of Sadiya, in Khanaqin district in Diyala governorate, to rescue the four people kidnapped by ISIS last night.

ISIS mercenaries ambushed the operational forces near the Hawrin Lake. The response of Iraqi troops resulted in armed confrontation in which 2 Iraqi soldiers were killed and 3 were injured.
