Kurdish activists conclude long march in Paris: This is just the beginning!

The last day of a march organised on December 13-15 by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger-TCŞ) and Combatting Young Women (Jinên Ciwan ên Tekoşer-TekoJIN) under the motto “Em Hemû Şervanên Azadiyê ne, Werin Cenga Azadiyê”, started on Wednesday with enthusiasm.

The young protestors gathered at the Cigerxwîn Democratic Kurdish Community Centre in the early hours of the morning and marched towards the Villeneuve-Saint-Georges Municipality.

After a minute’s silence in memory of the Martyrs of the Revolution of Kurdistan, the crowd began to march towards Grigny.

Çekdar Serhed from the TCŞ made a speech in the march and stated that this march is just the beginning. “The fact that today is the final day of the march does not mean that this march will end here. Our march will continue more crowded and gloriously than ever before,” he stated.

“The purpose of this march is to respond to the physical arrest of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Turkish military assaults against the Medya Defence Zones. Therefore, each end is a new beginning. This struggle will continue until Öcalan and Kurdistan are freed,” he added.
