Network for International Friendship to promote first Working Brigade in Rojava

The Network for International Friendship is an umbrella organisation, containing various entities and institutions of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

From March to April 2022, it will organise the first Working Brigade in the Federation of Northern and East Syria: a 21-day program of political discussions and workshops, social and cultural activities, practical handwork inside a cooperative and local village and a tour to important and meaningful places in Rojava.

The Network for International Friendship develops projects that bring together and connect the local branches of the administration with people and progressive institutions from all over the world. Its aim is to close the gap between democratic struggles worldwide through collective experiences and practical solidarity.

The umbrella organisation is made up of the following organisations:

Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger ê Sûriyê

As an autonomous representation of the youth inside society, the Revolutionary Youth Movement of Syria takes its place in every branch of the Autonomous Administration. It does so by organizing committees for different work like education, culture, economy, diplomacy and many more. The main goal of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger ê Sûriyê is to organize the youth and make the new generation of Syria grow up with a political and ethical conscience.

Kongra Star

Kongreya STAR is a democratic confederation that struggles for women’s freedom and the right for equality in North and East Syria. It is based on the strategy of the democratic nation, transcending centralization and achieving justice, freedom and equality for women and different peoples. It takes the ideology and perspective of women as the basis for solving social issues and problems.

Internationalist  Youth Commune of Rojava

As internationalists from different parts of the world, the members of the Internationalist Commune of Rojava have been working in different structures of the revolution in Rojava and Northern Syria for many years. Though coming from different political backgrounds, the Kurdish movement united and inspired them with a new revolutionary perspective going far beyond the Middle East. To achieve these goals, they work based on three principles: ‘Learn, Support, Organize’.

Civil Diplomacy Center

We consolidate and create new understandings between the peoples of NES and the outside world, on the basis of humanitarian values, democracy, women’s freedom, and freedom of religion and belief. We work on the basis of the diverse cultures of NES, including its Kurdish, Arabic, Christian and Yezidi heritage; its autonomous and diverse regions and municipalities; and its burgeoning civil-society movements, in particular its women’s movement. We enable the citizens of the world to engage fully with the ‘Rojava revolution’ and ‘women’s revolution’, through bilateral educational, solidarity and outreach programs.In this way, we contribute to the global resistance against dictatorial oppression and the war against indigenous cultures, women, and society. We establish bilateral projects and mutual aid in order to spread peace, democracy and a communal way of life in NES and beyond.
