Kurds in Toronto demand freedom for Öcalan

Kurds in Toronto attended the march promoted by the Democratic Kurdish Community Assembly. The crowd protested the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Emphasizing that the Kurdish Freedom Movement is resisting the attacks carried out by ISIS, an organisation that threatens the whole world, activists said that it is unacceptable to imprison the leader of such a movement and the Kurdish people.

Activists said: “Leader Apo is the hope of the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East. He is the only person able to propose a solution to achieve peace against war.
