HPG discloses identity of guerrilla fallen in Medya Defense Areas

The HPG Press Center’s statement said: “Our comrade Bahoz, the courageous revolutionary of the people of Botan and a freedom fighter defending our people, fell as a martyr on 9 June 2021, during the bombardment of the invading Turkish state on the Medya Defense Areas.”

The identity information of our comrade Bahoz is as follows:

   Name Surname: Mehmet Şefa Akman

   Birthplace: Sirnex

   Mother and father’s name: Halime – Hüseyin

   Date of Martyrdom: 9/6/21

   Place of Martyrdom: Medya Defense Areas

The statement added: “Our comrade Bahoz grew up with a traditional Kurdish culture and had the traits of natural society in his personality. Our Comrade Bahoz’s family as well as himself were surely influenced by the battle for independence in the regions he lived in. This independence battle, waged for decades under the leadership of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, had some prices, and those prices have motivated him to strengthen the struggle.

He continued his struggle with high devotion and enthusiasm despite all difficult conditions, and he stood firm on the path of revolution. Recognizing that the debt owed to the martyrs could only be paid by increasing the struggle to achieve the freedom our people deserve, he carried out numerous operations in various areas of Kurdistan, particularly the Zagros. We express our condolences to all patriotic people of Hezex and Kurdistan, particularly the dear Akman family and we assure our people that we will certainly fulfil our promise of freedom and victory.”
