MSD delegation meets Swedish Foreign Minister

A delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) has met with Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde in Stockholm. The delegation consists of Iham Ehmed, who is Chair of the MSD Executive Committee, Co-Chair Riad Darar and Vice-Chair Majdoleen Hassan.

According to MSD, the meeting with Ann Linde focused on methods to support and promote the democratic opposition in Syria and a roadmap to an intra-Syrian solution process for the war-torn country. In addition, a number of issues related to the humanitarian and economic situation in Syria, especially in the north-east of the country, were discussed.

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde stated that her country remains an active partner of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. On Twitter, the minister wrote that she appreciated the “sincere conversation” with Ilham Ehmed.

Political parties as well as representatives of civil society, the Autonomous Administration and key individuals are organised in the MSD.
