HPG guerrilla Serhat Tekin buried in Şırnak

The body of HPG guerrilla Serhat Tekin (Bextiyar Avaşîn), who fell as a martyr during clashes in the Hakkari countryside on 1 November, was taken to Hakkari State Hospital. After the DNA samples taken from Tekin’s family matched, he was delivered to his family on Thursday.

Tekin was buried in the cemetery of the village of Hespîst (Yarbaşı) in İdil, province of Şırnak. The funeral ceremony was attended by many people.

During the ceremony, the cemetery was besieged by the police.
