KCDK-E calls on activists to attend march demanding freedom for Öcalan in Strasbourg on Saturday

The KCDK-E is holding a march and rally in front of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg tomorrow, Saturday, to demand the liberation of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and to end isolation.

In a statement, the KCDK-E called on the Kurdish people and their Kurdish friends to actively participate in the action.

The statement underlined that the hope of freedom for the Kurdish people and the peace of the Middle East continue to be hindered after 23 years of international isolation and added: “The silence of Europe and all other international powers, especially the US, only encourages Turkey to continue along this road. The attacks against Rojava, where Democratic Modernity is implemented, continue to increase, and the invasion attacks in South Kurdistan continue to violate international law also because of this silence. This is why the silence of the international institutions and the CPT should end.”

The statement added: “The heroic sons of the Kurdish people are faced with all kinds of massacres, including chemical weapon attacks, due to their determined resistance against the international isolation imposed on Leader Öcalan.

The isolation of Öcalan is of an international nature, imposed on the entire territory of Kurdistan and the Middle East.”

The KCDK-E said that a march and rally will be held in front of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 13 November demanding not only the end of isolation but also the end of the international silence.

The march will leave from Place de la République, 67000 Strasbourg, at 12 pm.
