Former HDP deputy under custody for 8 days

An advisor to HDP lawmaker Kemal Bülbül, Mustafa Yüksel who was detained on November 2 after a political genocide operation in Adıyaman, has been released. Yüksel was taken to a courthouse after he remained under custody in Adıyaman Provincial Gendarmerie Command for 8 days. Yüksel gave a statement to prosecutor and was sent to Adıyaman 2nd Criminal Court of Peace for arrest on charge of “membership in an organization”. The court decided to release Yüksel subjecting him to “judicial control”.

In the meantime, HDP’s former Adıyaman deputy Behçet Yıldırım, who was detained on November 3, remains under custody. The former member of parliament is expected to be sent to a court tomorrow when his additional detention period is over.
