Young people in Geneva demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan

European youth organizations Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) continue their activities as part of the “Werin Cenga Azadiyê” campaign against the systematic isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.

TCŞ and TekoJIN members gathered in front of the Geneva Train Central Station in the evening and held a march.

Young people carrying banners with pictures of Abdullah Öcalan and PKK flags chanted slogans such as “Libere Öcalan” and “Bijî Serok APO” inside the station.

The statement read at the action said: “We have no patience left. Either Leader Öcalan will attain his freedom or we will turn everywhere into a field of resistance. We will expose the NATO countries that are the supporters of the Turkish dirty policy everywhere.”

The youth movements addressed the Kurds living in Europe and said: “Young people in Europe must rise up. They should take to the streets. This is the day when Leader Öcalan’s physical freedom will be achieved. It is the day to embrace the resistance of the guerrillas. We have nothing to lose.”
