Interview with Mohammed Elnaiem on Self-Determination and the Struggle in Sudan
Dr. Jeff Miley of Peace in Kurdistan interviews Mohammed Elnaiem about struggles for self-determination in the 21st century in general, and about the ongoing struggle in Sudan in particular.
General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan toppled Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok’s cabinet on 25 October and arrested key politicians. Hamdok remains under house arrest in his residence, Volker Perthes said.
A joint military-civilian Sovereign Council had been heading Sudan’s transition towards full civilian rule following the 2019 overthrow of President Omar al-Bashir.
Mohammed Elnaiem is a PhD. student at the University of Cambridge and an activist on the Sudanese left. He is a frequent contributor to Jstor Daily.
