HDP meets its supporters in Paris

Peoples’ Democratic Party co-chair Pervin Buldan, Foreign Relations Commission co-spokesperson Feleknas Uca and deputy Sait Dede attended the people’s meeting held in Paris, France as part of the “HDP supporters are everywhere” campaign.

The meeting was very crowded and Buldan talked about the current political situation.

Stating that people had to go into exile due to the closure of their ways of doing politics, Buldan said: “Whatever they do, this ship will definitely reach the port, as dear Demirtaş said. We made a promise to Figen Yuksedag, Gultan Kisanak and Sebahat Tuncel. No one will be able to turn us away from our path.”

HDP deputy Feleknas Uca started her speech by celebrating World Kobane Day and said: “The mentality that divided the Kurds into 4 parts in Lausanne in 1923 aims to attack and deny women’s gains in Rojava and continues a policy of total extermination. There is no possibility of a second Lausanne. We need to raise the fight against this mentality everywhere.”

HDP deputy Sait Dede said that they have been facing a state mentality that wants to subdue the Kurds for years. “The cities of Kurdistan, especially Hakkari, Mardin, Amed, and Şırnak, were destroyed, the Kurds were tried to be subdued. None of the Kurds in the four parts bowed to these policies, and will not! Anyone who makes plans in the Middle East today should know that it is not wise to make new plans in the Middle East without the Kurds. The Kurds are a balancing factor in the Middle East.”
