Hêvîdar Tirbespiyê was born in Tirbespiyê in Rojava. Her family had already sympathized with the PKK when Abdullah Öcalan was in Syria. Hêvîdar continued this family tradition and participated in various activities as a youth. Along with the Rojava revolution, she increased her involvement and joined the guerrillas in 2013. She herself assessed this step as the “beginning of a new and free life.” After successfully practicing in different areas, she went to Avaşîn. Since the beginning of the Turkish attacks, she was part of the Werxelê resistance and participated in many actions against the enemy.

Yerîvan Kato came from Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak. Her family was patriotic and she was familiar with the liberation movement as a child. Influenced by the comradery relations within the PKK, she joined the guerrillas. In the mountains, she stood out for her diligence and natural personality, according to HPG. She educated herself ceaselessly to become a free woman. Her guerrilla life began in the Zagros Mountains, and then she stayed in different regions of the Medya Defense Zones. When ISIS invaded Şengal, she actively participated in the defense of the Yazidi people. Most recently, she fought against the Turkish occupation in Avaşîn.

Binevş Çiya was born in the Karayazı district of Erzurum, known for its resistance. She came from a patriotic family that had already made sacrifices in the Kurdish liberation struggle. Therefore, Binevş knew the PKK well and joined the guerrillas in due course. A short time later, ISIS attacked Şengal and Binevş was among the first guerrilla groups to rush to the aid of the Yazidi community. She played a leading role in the fight against the Islamists and gained great experience. In 2018, she returned to the mountains and underwent ideological training, from which she emerged as the commander of the Free Women’s Troops, YJA Star. Since 2020, she fought in all areas in Avaşîn and most recently participated in the Werxelê resistance.

Adil Gabar was born in Van and grew up in a patriotic environment. He became involved in the liberation movement as a youth and eventually joined the guerrillas. He stayed in the mountains in various areas and quickly developed into a capable fighter and commander. He specialized in several branches of warfare and passed on his knowledge to his fellow fighters. According to HPG, he used his practical intelligence to overcome seemingly unattainable objectives and carry out successful actions. In the resistance against the Turkish invasion of Avaşîn, he fought in the areas of Mamreşo, Aris Faris, Dola Mara, and most recently Werxelê.

HPG described the resistance of Werxelê as a new page in the history of Kurdistan’s struggle and offered their condolences to the relatives of the martyrs and the Kurdish people.
