Civilian shot by Turkish soldiers near Kobanê

Mihemed Şêxo, 55, was shot by Turkish soldiers while working in his field near the village of Siftik in the west of the city of Kobanê. The village of Siftik is located on the Turkish border. The farmer was watering crops when a Turkish soldier opened fire. Şêxo, who was hospitalized, spoke to ANHA and said, “This is not the first time the Turkish state has targeted civilians. They are trying to intimidate us. But we know the plans of the Turkish state.”

In recent weeks, several civilians have been killed by Turkish artillery fire, particularly in the neighboring region around the town of Ain Issa.
