HDK delegation visits Şenyaşar family

Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in the attacks of AKP Deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız’s bodyguards and relatives in Suruç district of Urfa on 14 June 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, continue their vigil for justice which they launched in front of Urfa Courthouse on March 9. Şenyaşar family’s vigil continues to receive solidarity visits. Members of the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) Balıkesir Provincial Council visited the family in the area called “Şenyaşar family’s justice corner”.

The family received the delegation with banners reading “We demand only justice, justice for everyone.” Mehmet Çelikten, member of the HDK Balıkesir Executive Council, said, “This family’s stance against injustice has made citizens living in the west pay attention to this issue. We demand injustice to end. Not only the HDK Executive Council or the HDP, but also all the conscientious people living in the west demand this injustice to be ended. These people seeking justice in front of a courthouse have been facing unlawful practices. This is completely unacceptable. We support Şenyaşar family’s long-standing and rightful struggle.”

Subsequent to the speech, the delegation held vigil together with the family for a while, and left the courthouse.
