YPG denies Turkish allegations on Afrin explosion

The People’s Defense Units (YPG) Press Centre has released a statement responding to the accusations of the Turkish Ministry of Defense concerning the September 5 explosion in occupied Afrin.

The statement said:

“The invading Turkish state and its proxies are carrying out further attacks in Afrin each day. The Turkish forces are changing the demographic structure of the region, devastating nature, and carrying out new genocide attacks. As there are incessant conflicts between the mercenary groups that are taking part in the occupation, the crackdown on the people of the region is also expanding. Those who reject the occupation are killed. The invading Turkish state and its mercenary groups are shifting the blame onto our forces for the crimes and genocides they have committed. On September 5, an explosion took place in Afrin. The Turkish Defense Minister blamed our forces for the explosion. However, the Turkish state’s claim is not true. The purpose of such allegations and statements is psychological warfare. Our people and global public opinion should not believe in the allegations of the invading Turkish state.”
