Freedom to the Leader Committee: Democratic project in Rojava is the work of Abdullah Öcalan

Heavy isolation conditions have been imposed on Leader Öcalan for 22 years. The hunger strikes launched in prisons in Turkey to end the isolation of Öcalan, who is not allowed to meet with his family and lawyers, continue.

Speaking about isolation, the members of the Freedom to the Leader Committee said that the Turkish state and capitalist powers attacked together to destroy Öcalan’s ideas. Stating that the conspiracy against Öcalan was implemented because of his ideas, the members of the Freedom to Leader Committee noted that all attempts to undermine the Kurdish people’s leader failed.

Freedom to the Leader Committee member, Fîras Reşo, told ANHA: “The ideas of Leader Öcalan have crossed the borders of one nation. He called for freedom for all peoples. It has been the biggest shield in the struggle against capitalism and powers. Leader Öcalan offered solutions to all Middle Eastern problems. Despite all the obstacles that arose in the Autonomous Administration regions, this project was successful. This happened thanks to the ideas of Leader Öcalan.”

Member of the Freedom to the Leader Committee, Şeza El Hisên, added: “The aim of the Freedom to the Leader Committee is to break the strict isolation imposed on Leader Öcalan by the fascist Turkish state. For this, more pressure should be put on international public opinion. The Turkish state has so far not been able to get what it wants from this isolation. It won’t be able to get it anymore. Leader Öcalan’s ideas have spread all over the world today.”

Calling on international institutions, Fîras Reşo and Şeza El Hisên demanded that the Turkish state be put under pressure and that Leader Öcalan meet with his lawyers and family.
