Swiss BastA Party: We are all HDP members

The Swiss BastA Party promoted an action to protest the political attacks against the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). “We are all HDP members,” said its member at the event which was held in Basel.

BastA Party Secretary Franziska Stier had called on members to support the HDP. The event started with a presentation by journalist-writer Kerem Schamberger on the history of the Kurds and Kurdistan.

Kurdish woman politician and former co-mayor of Cizre, Leyla Imret, spoke on behalf of the HDP. The documentary titled “Dil Leyla”, about the former Cizre Municipality co-mayor was screened.

The event continued throughout the day with a cultural program in the evening. A group photo was taken by BastA Party members in solidarity with HDP.
