YJA Star guerrilla Dicle Üzüm laid to rest in Batman

The body of YJA Star guerrilla Dicle Üzüm, who fell a martyr as the result of an attack carried out by the invading Turkish army in Meydanbelek, Hakkari, on 26 July, was buried in her hometown of Batman.

Family members went to Hakkari on 27 July to give blood samples for DNA testing. After the test results were published, on Friday, the family, who applied to the Hakkari Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, was able to take Üzüm’s remains and brought them to Batman.

Üzüm was buried under police blockade in Asri Cemetery in the city center.
