Commander Kobanê says Turkey violated ceasefire and attacked Girê Spî 60 times in August

The invading Turkish state and its mercenaries continue their invasion attacks against Girê Spî. The invaders, who made various attacks with howitzers, mortars, rockets and tanks, are not complying with the ceasefire signed with the mediation of international forces. Many civilians also lost their lives in the attacks. Many people’s property was damaged.

Danyel Kobanê, one of the commanders of the Girê Spî Military Council, told ANHA that the invading Turkish state violated the ceasefire 60 times in August and attacked Girê Spi repeatedly. Commander Kobanê said that they responded to the attacks within the scope of self-defense and added that they will continue to respond to ensure the safety of life and property of the people.

Commander Danyel Kobanê also said that the Turkish state not only violated the ceasefire but also targeted civilians and added: “The aim of the Turkish state is to evacuate Girê Spi villages and facilitate the occupation.”

Commander Kobanê said that he is loyal to the agreement signed by the Girê Spî Military Council and drew attention to the fact that they are using their legitimate defense rights to protect their borders. The Girê Spî Military Council stand by the people, said commander Kobanê adding that the people did not leave their homes despite the invasion attacks.
