‘Unity among peoples is the only way to maintain security in Northern and Eastern Syria’

Since the success of the revolution in Northern and Eastern Syria, interventions have been carried out to cause strife and to disrupt security and stability in the region. Foreign and regional powers are trying to cause division between Kurds and Arabs to destabilize the region. Components in the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions built the Democratic Autonomous Administration and formed their military forces, defending the region, eliminating terrorism and maintaining the unity of Syrian territory.

Jazira Region Sade Tribe Sheikh Şêx Elledin Bin Şêx Ehemed told ANHA that the Kurds and Arabs in the region have led a social, political and economic life together for centuries and that the unity between Kurds and Arabs has been strengthened thanks to the Northern and Eastern Syrian revolution.

Şêx Elledin Bin Şêx Ehemed said that foreign and regional powers are constantly working to disrupt the security and stability of the region and to cause strife between Kurds and Arabs. “The people of the region should recognize the danger of the plans carried out by foreign powers, especially the invading Turkish state. They should also know that unity among Kurds, Arabs and Assyrians is the only way to ensure security.”

Şêx Elledin Bin Şêx Ehemed called on the political parties in Northern and Eastern Syria to unite and added that the invading Turkish state is trying to humiliate the people of the region and occupy more Syrian lands in this dangerous process.

Şêx Elledin Bin Şêx Ehemed said that the revolution in Northern and Eastern Syria started with the YPG and YPJ and added: “The peoples of the region also joined the revolution and then the SDF was established. These forces united and defeated ISIS, preserving the unity of Syrian territory. Kurdish and Arab unity is the only way to protect the revolutionary gains achieved thanks to thousands of martyrs. Today, unity should be strengthened to stop the plans of the Turkish state.”
