Young people and veterans in Deir ez-Zor protest Turkish attacks

Members of the Young Women’s Union, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Veterans’ House got together in the Sebai Kilo region of Deir ez-Zor to protest the Turkish state’s attacks on Shengal and Northern and Eastern Syria.

The statement was read by Amir El-Meşhuri, a member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, who said that all attacks were targeting the Autonomous Administration and the people. Stating that the freedom of all peoples is based on the democratic nation project, Amir El-Meşhuri added: “The Turkish state has been attacking the people since the day the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria was established. Turkey carries out crimes against humanity and violates international law.”

Amir al-Mashuri condemned the silence of Russia and the US about the attacks.
