TEV-DEM calls on Kurdish people to increase struggle against Turkish attacks

The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) issued a written statement regarding the genocidal attacks of the invading Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria Region and Shengal.

The statement said: “The fascist Turkish state has increased its air strikes recently. With these attacks, Turkey violates the agreements signed with the USA and Russia. It has now become the only party that wages a fierce war against the will of the people of the region and jeopardizes the balance in the region.”

Pointing out that the Turkish state carried out attacks against civilians in Shengal in the silence of the international community, the governments of Hewlêr and Baghdad, the statement added: “Turkey committed its crimes against Rojava targeting Zirgan and Til Temir. It targeted areas where civilians live. Many people lost their lives and were injured. Civilian vehicles are also constantly being targeted in Shehba.”

The statement said: “The invading Turkish state continues to commit crimes in Afrin, Sêrekaniyê and Girê Spî to break the will of the insurgent people who are fighting for a free and dignified life. The crimes of the invading Turkish state have surpassed world war criminals such as Pinochet in Chile, Milosevic in Yugoslavia and Mussolini in Italy. But the attacks of the invading Turkish state cannot break our will.

We strongly condemn the silence of the international community, the international coalition states and Russia about the crimes committed in the region.

We call on the Kurdish people to raise the struggle to be worthy of the martyrs of the Zirgan and Til Temir massacres.”
