32 political parties call for international action against Turkey’s genocidal attacks

In a joint press statement, 32 parties and political groups in North and East Syria have condemned the invading Turkish state’s attacks on North-East Syria and Shengal. The statement emphasized that the Turkish state is trying to disturb security in the region and disregards the will of the peoples.

‘TURKISH STATE IS KILLING CIVILIANS AND CHILDREN’

“The Turkish state carries out massacres against civilians both in South Kurdistan and in North-East Syria on a daily basis. Most recently, the Turkish state has targeted a hospital in Shengal, as a result of which our Yazidi siblings were martyred. The Turkish state was founded based on massacres. It insists on pursuing the same policy in the 21st century. It is attacking the populated town of Zirgan in the Serêkaniyê region, using missiles and artillery. As a result of the attacks, numerous people, including women and children, were martyred and injured,” the statement recalled.

The statement pointed out that the Turkish state is carrying out a policy of genocide against all peoples, especially the Kurdish people. “This policy causes instability in the region. If it is not halted, it will affect the whole world. The Turkish state is a state that supports terrorism, particularly ISIS. This policy is being implemented against security, the will of the peoples and their legitimate rights.”

CALL ON INTERNATIONAL POWERS AND PUBLIC

The political parties pointed out that, “We reject these attacks against the region, and call on the peoples of the world, the UN and the Security Council to stop the crimes of the Turkish state and hold it accountable. Moreover, we call on the Turkish state to withdraw its forces from the occupied regions such as Afrin, Serêkaniyê, Girê Spî, Jarabulus and Azaz. We call on all the people of the region to stand with the SDF and embrace the Autonomous Administration project.”
