Yazidi mother: “The killers of our children are Turkey, Iraq and Mesut Barzani”

The reaction of the Yazidi people is growing against the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state against Shengal since Monday.

After the attack on a military vehicle in the Shengal bazaar on Monday, in which YBŞ Commander Seid Hesen and YBŞ fighter İsa Xwededa fell as martyrs and 3 civilians were injured, warplanes of the invading Turkish state bombed the hospital in the village of Sikêniyê in Shengal on Tuesday. While the hospital was destroyed in the attack, causing martyrs and wounded, an airstrike was also carried out against the people who wanted to help those under the rubble. The Yazidi people, who went to the scene, reacted to the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state, as well as the Iraqi government and KDP President Mesut Barzani.

Speaking to ANF, a Yazidi mother from Shengal stated that the hospital served the Yazidi and Arab people living in the region, and that the doctors were their own children and added: “This hospital was serving civilians. The doctors were our children. They were the children of the Yazidis. Dozens of civilians are under this rubble. Mesut Barzani in Iraq is also responsible for this massacre as much as the Turkish state. They are now doing to us what ISIS did. The world remains silent against this persecution.”

Another mother, reacting to the silence of the whole world against the persecution and massacres inflicted on the Yazidi people, said: “We returned to our lands after ISIS and now the Turkish state is bombing us. What do they want from us? The whole world has closed its eyes to the persecution inflicted on us. They say law, they say human rights, but the Yazidis are being killed, no one speaks out. They are all hypocrites.”
