Autonomous Administration should be officially recognised, says Syria Future Party chair

The Syrian Future Party held a panel on political developments at the Raqqa Culture and Art Center. The panel, attended by the Raqqa Civil Council, institution representatives and many opinion leaders, started with a minute’s silence.

Speaking at the panel, Syria Future Party chair Ibrahim Al-Qeftan noted that the Autonomous Administration emerged as the third way and defended the unity of Syria. Expressing that the states intervening in Syria are working for their own interests, Al-Qeftan added that this situation prolongs the crisis.

Raqqa Civil Council co-chair Mihemednur Al-Dib said that Syrians should establish a dialogue with each other for a solution and added: “The Turkish state wants to disrupt Syria’s mosaic. Kurds, Arabs, Armenians and Assyrians have lived together for thousands of years. This pluriculturalism is not in the interest of the Turkish state. The Autonomous Administration gave 11,000 martyrs against ISIS and it is still protecting the people against the attacks of the Turkish state and its mercenaries.”

Syria Future Party chair, Ibrahim Al-Qeftan said: “Our strategy is dialogue. This is essential for solving any problem. In this way, we can persuade the international community. We don’t want war. The Autonomous Administration should now be officially recognized. The only viable project in Syria is the Autonomous Administration.”
