Autonomous Administration meets tribal leaders to evaluate work in Jazira region

Jazira Region Autonomous Administration representatives met with tribal leaders to evaluate the services rendered in the region. Many Arab and Kurdish tribal leaders and Syriac representatives attended the meeting held in the Zana Hall in Qamishlo.

The first session of the meeting addressed the political developments in the region. Jazira Region Autonomous Administration Legislative Assembly co-chair Hikmet Hebîb said: “Since the Syrian crisis started, the Autonomous Administration has shown that it is different from the Damascus government. The Autonomous Administration, which adopted the third way, provided the defense of the region with the YPG and YPJ. In this way, it liberated many places from ISIS mercenaries.”

Referring to the obstacles faced by the Autonomous Administration, Hebîb said: “The biggest obstacle faced by the Autonomous Administration was the ISIS mercenaries who were openly supported by the Turkish state to devastate Syria. The Turkish state, which opened its borders to ISIS mercenaries, entered Syrian territory under false pretexts.”

Stating that the Autonomous Administration is trying to establish a dialogue with all parties about the solution to the Syrian crisis, Hebîb added: “The Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) made contact with all national circles in Syria for the solution to the Syrian crisis. They knocked on every door to discuss the possibility of a national congress to be held and for a permanent solution to the Syrian crisis. Unfortunately, despite all attempts, a permanent solution to the Syrian crisis has yet to be found.”

Drawing attention to the special war being waged in the region, Hebîb said: “They are trying all kinds of ways to destroy the Autonomous Administration because this project is a system that embraces all peoples in Syria. It is also the key to the solution to the Syrian crisis.”
Jazira Region Democratic Autonomous Administration Executive Council co-chair, Telat Yunis, said: “The Autonomous Administration emerged as the joint work of the peoples. Thanks to the unity of the peoples, it eliminated all the obstacles it encountered one by one. It foiled all the plans of the enemy.”
