CDK-S calls on activists to join demonstration in Zurich on 14 August

Actions and protests against the Turkish invasion of South Kurdistan are taking place everywhere under the international initiative “Defend Kurdistan”. The Kurdish umbrella organization CDK-S and the Kurdish women’s movement YJK-S called for a central demonstration in Zurich on 14 August.

The appeal of the CDK-S co-executive committee said: “The AKP / MHP fascism is continuing its policy of massacres in Kurdistan in order to hide its own crisis. However, the Turkish invasion army repeatedly fails in its attacks and therefore resort to war-criminal methods such as the use of chemical weapons. The civilian population is the target of attacks from Turkish bases in South Kurdistan. We appeal to the patriotic Kurdish population and their friends as well as to all who stand up for human rights and democracy, to come to the demonstration and give this action the strength to send a clear stop signal to the occupation of Kurdistan.”

The demonstration and rally will begin on Saturday, 14 August at 2 pm in Zurich on Helvetiaplatz.
