Another application to visit Öcalan and other prisoners

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan’s family, his lawyers and legal guardian have submitted an application to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to visit Öcalan and his fellow prisoners.

Öcalan’s lawyers Rezan Sarıca, Raziye Öztürk, Faik Özgür Erol and Cengiz Yürekli demand to meet their client next Monday.

Similar applications were submitted by Abdullah Öcalan’s brother Mehmet Öcalan and his legal guardian Mazlum Dinç and the relatives of the other prisoners in İmralı.

Kurdish leader Öcalan has been held under aggravated isolation in Imrali High Security F-Type Prison since he was captured following an international conspiracy in 1999.

The last contact with Öcalan was a phone call with his brother on March 25. The phone call was interrupted.

The last time the lawyers of Öcalan met with their client was on May 2-22, June 12-18 and August 7, 2019. All applications have been left unanswered since then.
