SDF refutes allegations on assassination of a mercenary militia member

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement denying “misleading news published by the terrorist groups about their leaders and their whereabouts.

The statement said, “Media affiliated to the Turkish occupation’s mercenaries has reported false news about an assassination targeting the terrorist Abu Sajjad al-Hasakah, a mercenary in “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia and involved in war crimes and grave violations in the occupied areas in northern Syria. The information we got confirms that this news is false, and the mentioned terrorist is still alive and continues to commit violations.”

SDF continued, “In recent days, some news websites affiliated with the mercenaries have promoted other false news about the moving of “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” mercenaries from the city of Seri Kane/Ras al-Ain towards the Tal Abyad city, following the decision of the U.S. Treasury Department to impose sanctions on the terrorist organization and its leaders.

However, all that news is false because the terrorist organization is still occupying the homes of civilians and public institutions in Ras al-Ain and committing crimes.”

The statement added: “All of this false news comes in the context of failed attempts to confuse the efforts exerted by human rights organizations and media to document the crimes committed by the terrorist militia and to collect more data about its leaders and elements (including Daesh elements).”
