Autonomous Administration condemns desecration of martyrs’ graves by Turkey

Reactions to the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries’ destruction of the martyrs’ graves in Afrin continue to come in. Cozêf Lehdo, deputy co-chair of the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration Executive Council, said that it is immoral for the Turkish state to desecrate cemeteries and open tombs as this violates the values of all beliefs.

Stating that the Turkish state and its mercenaries are the continuation of ISIS, Cozêf Lehdo added: “When ISIS mercenaries invaded these areas, they destroyed the graves visited by our people. Now the Turkish state is doing the same, desecrating the graves of our martyrs who gave their lives to defend their people in Afrin. No terrorist organization in the world has committed this crime except ISIS and the Turkish state. The Turkish state and its mercenaries in Afrin are committing crimes against humanity.”
