Basque senator and EU MEP ask questions about HDP to Madrid government and Brussels

EH Bildu senator Gorka Elejabarrieta together with a number of other senators in the Spanish parliament has asked a written question to the government demanding an explanation about the steps it has taken before the different European authorities to transfer to Turkey the rejection of the attempt to outlaw the HDP.

Meanwhile, in Brussels Nikolaj Villumsen MEP asked the EU co-president whether “the EU leaders are afraid of Erdogan.”

Villumsen said he “did not get an answer. Instead of moving towards an expansion of the Customs Union with Turkey the EU leaders should call for the immediate release of Selahattin Demirtas.”
